Welcome to Hideaway Rentals ( “we”, “our”, “us” ). These Terms & Conditions govern your use of rent.hideawayrentals.co (the “Site”) and any booking you make through it. By accessing or booking, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Booking & Payment

A 50 % deposit is charged at the time of booking; the balance is due 30 days before arrival.

Reservations made within 30 days of arrival are charged in full.

We accept major credit cards via our secure payment gateway (Stripe). All prices are shown in USD.

2. Cancellation Policy

Notice given Refund

30 days or more 100 % minus 8 % booking fee

14–29 days 50 % of total stay

< 14 days / no‑show No refund

3. Check‑in / Check‑out

Check‑in:  3 pm  Check‑out:  10 am

Early check‑in/late check‑out may be arranged in advance (fees apply, subject to availability).

4. House Rules

No parties or events without prior written approval.

Quiet hours: 10 pm – 7 am.

No smoking inside. A US $250 fee applies for violation.

Pets allowed only in designated “pet‑friendly” listings and must be registered.

5. Security Deposit

A US $300 hold is placed on your card 2 days before arrival and released within 7 days of departure, less any damages.

6. Liability

Guests stay at their own risk. Hideaway Rentals is not responsible for loss, theft, injury, or events beyond our control (e.g., power outages, weather).

7. Privacy

We collect only the data required to process your reservation and comply with local regulations. We never sell personal information to third parties.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Costa Rica. Any dispute shall be resolved in the courts of Santa Cruz, Guanacaste.
